Mariana has worked for 20 years on user experience strategy and design for fortune 500 companies in various industries including education, hospitality, retail, and technology. In the last few years, Mariana led the user experience at Ellucian, and evolved Ellucian’s software and services through a user-centric design process. Before joining Ellucian, Mariana managed for 15 years the Marriott’s multichannel digital guest experience, both US and international. Her team designed the entire digital customer experience, from the consideration and booking stages through the actual hotel stay. Mariana also developed and managed User Experience teams for both Sapient and iXL/Razorfish. on large-scale, integrated web marketing projects that included branding, marketing, advertising, e-commerce, and applications.

Ann is a design strategist who partners with major organizations to create ideal omnichannel customer experiences. She is a seasoned leader who works with stakeholders at all levels to find the sweet spot at the intersection of human needs, organizational capability, and technical innovation. Ann has led design and innovation initiatives in financial services, health care, hospitality, CPG, and AI-driven services. She has particular expertise in designing qualitative and quantitative research that articulates human needs and points to solutions for business problems.
Content Strategist & Copywriter
Howard has a successful track record guiding the creation, delivery, and governance of useful, usable content. During his 14+ years with Marriott’s digital UX team, he not only wrote some of the company’s highest-grossing promotions but also worked with many of their 30 hotel brands – ensuring each one’s unique voice spanned digital touch points.
Before joining Marriott, Howard spent 10 years as creative director and senior copywriter for one of Washington, DC’s largest advertising agencies developing integrated campaigns for Sprint, the Washington, DC Tourism Corporation, the Palm Beach Opera and The Washington Post. He believes that the most successful user experiences occur when design and content work synergistically.
User Interface / User Experience Designer
Julia Evins is a UI/UX and graphic designer with over 20 years of experience solving problems through user-centered design and processes. Before joining M, Julia led UI/UX design of Marriott International’s newest brand Homes & Villas by Marriott International. She has designed a wide array of marketing and branding projects for Marriott and its ecosystem of brand and loyalty websites including the refreshed Aloft Hotels and Sheraton brand sites. Julia’s design expertise includes brand marketing, merchandising, loyalty, and design system standards.
With her studio Evins Design, Julia directed and designed a variety of projects in collaboration with mission-driven institutions, cultural, and arts organizations. Notable clients included the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, Baltimore Museum of Art, and Johns Hopkins University. Julia believes that great design solutions start with an open mind, asking people lots of questions, and designing with purpose.
